The penis is often said to be a man's most precious part. But, especially in times of unattainable beauty standards, is that really the case still or is it more of a hackneyed phrase? 3,064 men from our community provided information - and intimate insights into their relationship with their penis.
"Yes" to the importance of the penis
One in nine of the 3,064 men surveyed in JOYclub agreed that their penis is their most precious part. Not surprisingly, 59.1 % of them like their penis very much, and 56.5 % consider it very important that their counterparts like their penis too.
However, size is not everything when it comes to the love of one's member. Every second person is very satisfied with the size of their penis, and even more so the 89.8 % of them who perceive their penis as (very) large when erect. During sex, those men most often describe the relationship with their penis as pleasurable and stimulating (56.5 %).
Good times with their most precious tool: These penises receive the most attention from their wearers. Three out of four men are in close contact with their penis and like to feel it - even without masturbation. One in ten even give names to their little friend.
Penis ratio: The most joy-giving part of the body?
At 47.9%, the majority of the 3,064 men surveyed definitely see their own penis as the most important and joy-giving part during sex, but not overall. On par with other body parts is their penis for a proud 33.4 % and for 7.5 % of the men surveyed, other body parts are more important.
The relationship to one's own penis is reflected in many aspects: As the relevance of the penis in the individual body concept decreases, its image also becomes less pleasing and the positive impression on the other person loses importance. 44% describe their relationship with their penis during sex as solid and reliable, 29.9% find it pleasurable and stimulating.
The most important penis findings at a glance
The following intriguing results were established:
- 59.1% of men like their penises a lot.
- 1 out of 2 men is very satisfied with the size of their penis.
- 89.9% of men perceive their penises as large or even very large when erect.
- 56.5% of men describe the relationship with their penis during sex as pleasurable and stimulating.
- 3 out of 4 men like feeling their penis on a regular basis.
- 47.9% of men think their penis is the best part of sex.
- 33.4% of men feel their penis is their most important body part.
- 72.9% of men like when their penis receives full attention and is extensively explored during sexual intercourse.
Relationship care for the penis: familiar and intense.
Despite beauty norms and standard values, every penis is individual. And yet: clothes make the man and the penis makes a naked man, or something like that. The shape of the glans, the length and the girth of the penis are most important to the men surveyed; the intimate hairstyle plays less of a role here.
All respondents agree on what the relationship with their penis should look like in masturbation: familiar and intense, sometimes slow and sometimes fast. But regardless of what the relationship is like, half of all men experience from time to time that their penis doesn't want what they want.
And what would a penis be without the focused attention of other people? Certainly sad! Because 72.9 % of the men surveyed feel really good when their penis receives full attention and is explored extensively during sexual intercourse. An experience that is still pending for 6.5 %.
