The history of the Sybian
David L. Lampert had the idea for the Sybian already in the early 70s. But it was not until 1979 that his thoughts became a little more concrete, when he contacted an engineer and other specialists (researchers, sex therapists) to check the feasibility of his idea. But their answers quickly discouraged him and he shelved his idea for the time being.
In 1983, a female doctor encouraged him to implement the idea of the new masturbation device he presented to her. Once again David was on fire for his idea and from then on he read and researched everything that had to do with the subject of sexuality. But although he was able to inspire some people with the idea, the implementation itself simply did not progress.
The first prototype
In 1985, he finally found a workshop that was willing to build a prototype of today's Sybian. However, the technicians were not informed in any detail about what was actually to be created.
